Who is a candidate for lip augmentation?
Women (or men) who desire more fullness or
definition of their upper and/or lower lips may
be good candidates for lip augmentation.
How is lip augmentation performed?
Dr. Hynes uses injectable implants for lip augmentation. For temporary augmentation, Restylane® or Juvederm® (six months) or Evolence® (12 months) are used. For more permanent results (up to five years or more), Dr. Hynes recommends Artesense®.
Your lip augmentation can be done in the office under local anaesthetic and will take only a few minutes!
What is the recovery period like?
Although there can be some minor bruising or swelling, especially for the first day or so, you can return to your normal activities immediately.
What are the risks?
All procedures carry certain risks for side-effects, but fortunately these are uncommon with lip augmentation. Dr. Hynes will review all the risks of lip augmentation with you in detail during your cosmetic consultation.
